The museum's lunchtime screenings of short documentaries followed by moderated discussions. Visitors are welcome to bring their lunch from the museum café into the theater for this program.

Desert to Oasis – Life of the Uyghur (May 1 - May 15) The three films in this series document various aspects of Uyghur social and religious life. Three directors—one Uyghur, one American, and one Han—cover three prefectures spread far across the Xinjiang region of China. This series responds to the exhibition Living Shrines of Uyghur China: Photographs by Lisa Ross.

Since the Soviet Union collapsed, unemployment and alcoholism have ravaged the former Republic of Kyrgyzstan. This film follows a small group of Kyrgyz women who pull themselves out of crushing poverty by reviving the ancient tradition of making art from felt. Post-screening discussion with filmmaker Andrea Odezynska.
